Province of Pennsylvania. March 10, 1769. One Shilling. ''Bettering House Money.'' Plate A. No.24.277. Signed by Tho.[mas] Say, Jos.[eph] Fox, and Abel James. Printed on thinner coarse stock. Standard large vertical format Pennsylvania size, approximately 75mm by 90mm. Uniface, typeset face with border cuts and Penn Arms at lower right side. A very sharp example of this note from the 30,000 printed.
This is not from the Uncirculated note group of ''Census Topping'' notes, but it is a beauty in its own right. The above Uncirculated note dwarfs this lovely note. However, not many known are better than this note either. Very Fine to Extremely Fine. Creased lightly, with some handling. The left edge is strip mounted to a white card. Light, uniform toning and very clean. Pinhole at the center on the 'Y' in 'Year'.
Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
