State of North Carolina. 1778 (August 8, 1778 Act). Twenty Five Dollars. Sic transit Gloria Mundi....State of North Carolina. 1778 (August 8, 1778 Act). Twenty Five Dollars. Sic transit Gloria Mundi. No.3928. Signed by Cobb and Armitage. Printed on dark coarse paper. Typeset face with ornamental borders. Pattern back design with imprint 'Printed by James Davis, 1778'. The only $25 type with 10,000 printed. Fine or so. Soft paper, but intact. Wear around the perimeter and on the corners. Clarke pencil code on the back. Still, quite attractive for the grade and perfect for a type set.
