No.9856. Signed by Sumner, Williams, Haywood and Webb. Printed on thick laid paper. Wider format note. Vine border cut at left end, outlined in white on dark background. Denomination reversed on top border cut and in plinth at the right. Vignette in circle at lower left. A second Beehive type with honest wear. The paper type is thicker than the previous example and more like the $2-1/2 notes in the Ford-Boyd Collection.

Fine. Right side crease with a split at the bottom. A long diagonal fold from the lower right and several small folds near the corners. Well margined with excellent printing. A few small slits around the edges as usual and a few pinholes in the top margin. Quite attractive.

Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
