North Carolina Currency. April 2, 1776 Halifax Issue. One Fourth of a Dollar.  Three Fish Vignette....North Carolina Currency. April 2, 1776 Halifax Issue. One Fourth of a Dollar. Three Fish Vignette. No.1633. Signed by Sumner and Williams. Printed on laid paper, visible watermark at bottom center, 'P-'. Small format size. Three sided ornate border cut. A curious vignette with one large fish and two little guys, all facing right. There were 12,500 printed and few other examples exceed the grade of this note. Strong paper integrity and choice for this note series. About Extremely Fine. Vertical crease and a light diagonal corner fold at the upper right. Three wide margins, but the bottom is trimmed in slightly with a bottom center edge nick. Handsomely toned to a uniform light brownish-tan. Pencil codes and priced ''1.50'' on back.
