No.8116. Signed by Hill and Alston. Printed on laid paper. Small format size. Pattern border at left and thin ornamental border at right. A fine cut of the steer and attractive. The paper quality on this note is very strong with distinct vertical laid lines as made. Very Fine to Extremely Fine. Closer to the latter and Choice for the note. Vertical crease and two corner folds. Very short crease splits at the top and bottom center. Lightly toned overall and modestly soiled. Well margined with a few other short edge splits typical to the series. A sharp example of this type.

Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.

Of the eight different vignette types for the $1/8 notes, the Ford-Boyd Collection has six of the eight. Missing are the mirrored 'H' Monogram and the 'JM' Monogram type. That might say something about the rarity of those missing two.
