
North Carolina Currency. April 2, 1776 Halifax Issue. One Sixteenth of a Dollar. Cornucopia Vignette. No.4658. Signed by Bradford and McCulloch. Printed on laid paper. Small format size. Vine border at left end. The lower left corner of the sheet with wide selvege at left and bottom. Very Fine. Quarter folded, but impaired with a chip off the aged top edge. Chipping off the upper top left edge. Strong paper with visible printing paper lines;
One Sixteenth of a Dollar. Griffin Vignette. No.12584. Signed by McCulloch and Bradford. Printed on laid paper. Size as last. Outlined white vine on black at left, morse code-like pattern at right end. Fine or so, but the top edge is rather rough, trimmed in and with numerous splits. Several folds and lightly toned. The vignette is sharp and the grade is more than adequate of a tough, low denomination type;
One Sixteenth of a Dollar. Vase of Flowers Vignette. No.5426. Signed by McCulloch[?, faint] and Bradford. Printed on laid paper. Diamond repeating pattern at left and thick line at right. Lower right position note with wide margins at right and visible plate lines on bottom (rounded plate corner visible). Fine to Very Fine. Lightly aged with a rough top edge. This is slightly into the note. Strong paper body. All three notes have printages of 13,333 each and circulated heavily. Not often seen compared to higher dollar denomination notes. 3 pieces.
