Colony of New York. March 5, 1776.  One Third of a Dollar or Two Shillings and Eight Pence. No.12291....Colony of New York. March 5, 1776. One Third of a Dollar or Two Shillings and Eight Pence. No.12291. Signed by S.[amuel] Ray and R.[obert] Smith. Printed on thick stock. Ornate border cuts, New York Arms at the right. Back with small circular emblem at left with three wreaths, motto HIS ORNARI AUT MORI. Imprint 'Printed by Samuel Loudon, in the Year M, DCC, LXXVI'. Another very choice example from this series. Choice Crisp Uncirculated. Bright and well centered on both sides. Some very faint peripheral edge stains and corner ''dings.'' Raymond pencil code on back corner and pencil price at lower left back corner.
