State of New Jersey. December 20, 1783 Act. Two Shillings and Six Pence. No.??67. Signed by Ewing and Mott. Printed on coarse stock. Size similar to 1781 issue. Standard designs, State seal on face. Leaf design on back and date '1784'. Trenton printed by Isaac Collins. A very rare series, withdrawn with few surviving notes of any type. Only one note from the issue date contained in the impressive DuPont Collection Sale of New Jersey Colonial notes and lottery tickets with this denomination note not represented. For the issue and great rarity, a more than acceptable example.
Good to Very Good. Hard quarter creased with splitting. The vertical is cloth strip patched. The horizontal split is internal with the ends still maintaining their natural integrity. Soiled on both sides with rounded corner. This might be the only game as this note is an extreme rarity.
Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
