Colony of the Massachusetts Bay. December 7, 1775. Fourteen Shillings. No.5378. Signed by Tho. Rice...Colony of the Massachusetts Bay. December 7, 1775. Fourteen Shillings. No.5378. Signed by Tho. Rice and D.[ummer] Sewall. Revere Sword in Hand Note. Printed on moderately thick stock. 78mm by 102mm. Standard face and back designs. This denomination note represented in the Ford X in Sale in May, 2005 (lot 4662). For Swords of this type, choice and attractive. A sharp and well printed note.

About Very Fine or so. Horizontal fold (not creased harshly), top edge fold, long lower left corner fold and other handling. Soiled on the face and back, but the back dirt is fairly light. A few very short tears at the right and an ink smear as made on the left border. Concealed purple smear on the top right ornaments and a back ink spot. A handsome note with honest circulation and no major flaws.
