Colony of the Massachusetts Bay. August 18, 1775. Twenty Shillings. No.5614. Payable on August 18,...Colony of the Massachusetts Bay. August 18, 1775. Twenty Shillings. No.5614. Payable on August 18, 1780. Signed by Sayer and Wheeler[?, faint]. Revere Sword in Hand Note. Printed on thick, coarse stock. 75mm by 100mm. Standard face and back designs. A second Twenty Shillings denomination, represented in the epic Ford X Sale offering in May, 2006, but with a different payable date from above. Very Fine or better. Two creases across the center, a quarter of an inch apart, that are not broken. Modest surface soiling. A strong note and high grade for the series and type. Uniform toning and evenly margined. The paper still exhibits much of its original character and is clearly a premium note.

Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
