Colony of the Massachusetts Bay. August 18, 1775. Twenty Shillings. No.6569. Payable on August 18,...Colony of the Massachusetts Bay. August 18, 1775. Twenty Shillings. No.6569. Payable on August 18, 1779. Signed by J.[ames] Prescott and Plympton. Revere Sword in Hand Note. Printed on thick, coarse stock. 76mm by 94mm. Standard face and back designs. This denomination represented in the epic Ford X Sale offering in May, 2006, but with a different payable date. A sharply printed and detailed note. Very Fine or so. Uniform toning with a sharp crease across the note as usual. This has a slight break at one side and has lifted up some of the central surface of the face. Moderately soiled on both sides. Overall, a high grade note on this issue or any other Sword in Hand note series. The clarity of the face adds considerably to the appeal.

Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
