Colony of the Massachusetts Bay. August 18, 1775. Twelve Shillings. No.8532. Payable on August 18,...Colony of the Massachusetts Bay. August 18, 1775. Twelve Shillings. No.8532. Payable on August 18, 1779. Signed by Wheeler and Sayer. Revere Sword in Hand Note. Printed on thick, coarse stock. 75mm by 94mm. Standard face and back designs. This denomination represented in the epic Ford X Sale offering in May, 2006, but with the due date 1778. Note that example clearly used three signatures and not two as on this example. Genuine and mostly intact. Fine or so. Multi-folded and creased with a tear at the left. Mottled toning overall with several pinholes. The bottom edge is cut jaggedly. Later period penned notations at the lower left. A useful type note.

Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
