Signed by J.[ohn] Callahan. Printed on frail, laid paper. Smaller size format than previous acts, approximately 85mm by 62mm. Typeset face with different style border cuts than previous acts. Ornate pattern border on the face. Back with State Arms center. Imprint 'Printed by F. Green'. A fourth and final denomination on this rare series. This note completes the run and it is close to exceptional.
The Newman plate looks Uncirculated (One Tenth of a Dollar, serial No.1010), but this note is bold as well. Clearly, among the finest known on the issue date. Very Fine or better. The face is exceptionally well printed. Even margins and bright. There is a petty tone patch next to 'No.' The back has some soiling, particularly on the crease. A simple note that represents a final opportunity to obtain a note on this rare Act. Last seen in 1975 at the Affleck-Ball sale held by New Netherlands.
