State of Maryland. October 17, 1780. One Sixth of a Dollar or Nine Pence. No.2610. Signed by T.[homas] Johnson, Jr. [faint]. Printed on frail, laid paper. Smaller size format than previous acts, approximately 85mm by 62mm. Typeset face with different style border cuts than previous acts. Small rose ornaments on the outer pattern. Inner ornaments similar to Georgia bills of the 1776-1777 era. Back with State Arms center. Imprint 'Printed by F. Green'. A rare series and this will fill a void for some collector. Fair to Good. The interior text is bright from the face, tears and rough edged mostly, particularly the upper right corner. Void in the top center and roughly rejoined with a hinge from the back. A few other hinge repairs. Much better looking than the description.
Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
