Georgia. September 10, 1777. Seven Dollars in Continental Currency. No.3044. Dark blue seal. Liberty...Georgia. September 10, 1777. Seven Dollars in Continental Currency. No.3044. Dark blue seal. Liberty Cap. LIBERTAS CARIOR AURO. Signed by Hohendorf, Chevalier, Wylly, Wade and O'Bryen. Printed on laid paper. A wonderful patriotic motif and classic type on the Georgia color seal series. Very Fine or better, Strong for the grade with a vertical crease and a few folds seen from the back. The paper is still strong. Bold blue seal color with exceptionally strong details.

The motto is sharply typed and the contrast of the printing, bright paper and seal are wonderful. Well margined with only a slight bowing in at the top left. Premium quality for the technical grade. The very choice example (Choice About Uncirculated) of this type in the Ford Part X in Atlanta last May, 2005 (lot 4607) brought a stunning $8,625.00 in frenzied bidding. Though certainly not up to that example, a strong price is more than destined for this very attractive note.
