Georgia. September 10, 1777. One Dollar in Continental Currency. No.2899. Red seal. Justice. SUSTINE RECTUM. Signed by Hohendorf, Chevalier and Wade. Printed on laid paper. Choice Extremely Fine and close to a Superb Note. A very light fold on the horizontal quarter and lightly at the left. Both seen from the back only. However, these are trivial matters as the orange-red seal is struck magnificently, bright and even with exceptional details.
Fresh and vibrant paper quality with complete margins. A very petty ink speck on the red ''in'' of the text. Faint Raymond pencil code on the back. A powerful note and right up there with the finest seen on the series and seal type. Few can compare and worthy of multiples of ''antique'' catalogue trends and recent auction realizations.
Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate; Wayte Raymond.
At first glance, the serial number appears to be No.9899, but the first digit should be a '2' when compared to the clear resolution on the last two digits '99'.
