Colony of Connecticut. June 7, 1776. One Pound or Twenty Shillings. No.2665. Signed by Root and Payne....Colony of Connecticut. June 7, 1776. One Pound or Twenty Shillings. No.2665. Signed by Root and Payne. Printed on thinner laid paper. Standard size, designs and imprint as prior series. Uses the 'ONE POUND' designation on the face making it rather distinctive. Crisp Uncirculated, slash canceled from the bottom. A bold impression, but lightly toned. Well margined and attractive. A sleeper in our opinion and much rarer than the lower denominations on the issue date. A great note for the specialist who recognizes the opportunity.

Note, the Two Pounds (or Forty Shillings) is not represented in this collection. That is a great statement of rarity of that type. These One Pound notes are truly tough to find.
