Colony of Connecticut. June 7, 1776. Three Shillings. No.[?, faint]. Signed by Seymour. Printed on thinner laid paper. Standard size, designs and imprint as prior series. 7,000 issued and given a premium value in Newman. Choice Almost Uncirculated. Penned registration on the back; Five Shillings. No.964. Signed by Hamlin. Crisp Uncirculated. Tightly margined with a rubbed corner; Ten Shillings. No.30639[?]. Signed by Seymour and Pitkin. Extremely Fine. A crease and a paper fold on the bottom as made. A very attractive trio. All are not hammer cut cancelled and worth a premium as such. 3 pieces.
The vast majority of notes on this issue are seen with cut cancels or worse yet, large hole cancels. Intact notes from these so called ''available'' issue dates on Connecticut are undervalued in our opinion and have been unfairly ''lumped'' in with what many have considered common, cancelled bills.
