
Pennsylvania. April 29, 1780. Ten Shillings. No.3246. Signed by P.[hillip] Boehm and Levi Budd. Printed on coarse, thick paper watermarked 'PENNSYL/VANIA'. Traditional Pennsylvania horizontal format. 88mm by 70mm. Face border cuts on four sides, text with interest statement and 'redeemed.. in Silver Dollars' in center, ..'by Sale of Land..' Commonwealth Seal at lower right. Newly designed nature print back. Imprint 'Printed by John Dunlap'. Like the Five Shillings, there were only 8,696 authorized with the majority redeemed.
A second note from this rare series. Another top grade example and finer than the Five Shillings in the Ford-Boyd Collection. Very Fine to Extremely Fine. Bright and vivid. Lightly quarter folded with the vertical fold barely visible. Complete margins, but close. Very minor back corner mounting remnants. Boyd pencil upper left back field.
