North Carolina Currency. April 2, 1776 Halifax Issue. One Half a Dollar.  Monogram with Toothed Border...North Carolina Currency. April 2, 1776 Halifax Issue. One Half a Dollar. Monogram with Toothed Border of Radial Lines Vignette. No.2145. Signed by Haywood and Webb. Printed on laid paper. Shaded left border with denomination and engraver's initials 'GL'at top right corner. Pattern border at right with counterfeit warning. Fine to Very Fine. Quarter folded and wrinkled. A few short splits with old tissue repairs on the back. The face of the note is clean and attractive. Small hinge fragment on back with penned ''1.00'' on it.
