Maryland. August 14, 1776 Session.  Six Dollars or Twenty Seven Shillings Sterling. No.12382. Signed...Maryland. August 14, 1776 Session. Six Dollars or Twenty Seven Shillings Sterling. No.12382. Signed by F.[rederick] Green and T.[homas] Gassaway, Jr. Printed on sturdy stock. Size similar to Continental Currency, approximately 95mm by 72mm. Style identical to 1775 notes. Typeset with border cuts. Back with emblem, motto SUB CLYPEO. Imprint 'Printed by F. Green'. Extremely Fine. Toned and tightly trimmed. The vertical fold is modest and seen from the back. Trivial roughness from the bottom margin cut. Not the ''flat'' Very Fine notes often seen;

Eight Dollars or Thirty Six Shillings. No.12692. Signed by F.[rederick] Green and T.[homas] Gassaway, Jr. Very Fine Plus. Quarter folded lightly and from the face subtly toned and well printed. The back has some small foxing patches and a green paper remnant on the back upper right corner. Both are premium quality examples on a generally well circulated series. 2 pieces.
