State of Georgia. October 16, 1786. Twenty Shillings. No.8569. Signed by Jones, Freeman and Steele....State of Georgia. October 16, 1786. Twenty Shillings. No.8569. Signed by Jones, Freeman and Steele. Printed on watermarked paper manufactured by Honig & Zoonen. Georgia Constitution, motto PRO BONO PUBLICO, date '1777' below. Vignette signed 'ABERNATHIE SCULPSIT.' on plinth. Engraved panel at the left. Imprint at the bottom, 'Augusta: Printed by JOHN E. SMITH.' Fine to Very Fine or so. Multiple folds, honest wear and still very sharp for the grade. Lightly toned, more so at the right end. A short bottom split and a small excess piece of paper off the left engraved indent. This would fit well into any collection and is quite affordable for the appealing nature of this type.
