State of Virginia. May 1, 1780 Act. Eight Dollars. Unnumbered. Handwritten date ''Oct. 9, 1781.''...State of Virginia. May 1, 1780 Act. Eight Dollars. Unnumbered. Handwritten date ''Oct. 9, 1781.'' Signed by Boush and Lyne; countersigned on the back by F. Webb. Printed on thin paper, watermarked 'CONFEDE/RATION'. Standard size, designs and imprint as used on Maryland and other State issued ''Guaranteed'' notes. A scarce series of Guaranteed notes. There were 33,000 notes authorized of this denomination on the Act. Everything is there but the serial number. Likely, a sheet mate to one of the unnumbered Three Dollar notes above. Choice About Uncirculated. There is a very slight upper right corner fold from old-time collector handling. Wide sheet edge at the left along with complete margins on the other sides. Bends in the left wide end which will little eventually.
