State of New York. June 15, 1780 Act. Five Dollars. No.326. Signed by Bancker and Mynderse; countersigned on the back by Yates Jr. Printed on thin paper, watermarked 'CONFEDE/RATION'. Standard size, designs and imprint as used on Maryland and other State issued ''Guaranteed'' notes. Without red interest stamping on face. One of the rarest issues on the 1780 Guaranteed Acts. Without red interest stamping on face. There were only 1,413 notes authorized each from the eight denominations used.
A third different denomination in this exciting offering and a lovely type note. Not only is it very rare, but it has tremendous eye appeal for the technical grade. Not too many exist at all and this treasure has been in this core holding for perhaps 75 or more years. About Very Fine. Hard quarter folds, seen more from the back, right side fold, upper right corner fold, and corner handling. The face with modest soiling and still has some mica that glitters. The back color is still strong orange with moderate soiling. High grade for the Act on which there are not hundreds of notes to compare to, but only a relative few.
