Continental Congress. May 20, 1777 Resolution-First United States Issue. Thirty Dollars. No.585[3?]94. Signed by T. Warren and C. Hiener. Motif and motto as used on the May 10 1775 Session, November 29 1775 Resolution, February 17 1776, May 9 1776, July 22 1776, November 2 1776 and February 26 1777 notes. Dual vignetted ''Franklin'' motifs back as used on prior series. The highest denomination on this very popular issue and scarce in high grades. From the same serial number run as several high grade notes on the series we have seen over the years.
Crisp Uncirculated in terms of paper quality. The margins are very close to slightly in all around and there is uniform thinning on the edges. This might be due to an old-time rim mounting being removed with the thinning effect seen under the light only. The back is sharply printed and both sides are clean surfaced. The Thirty Dollar notes with dual vignettes are very attractive and on this tough and popular issue, quite desirable.
