Georgia. 1776. Two Shillings and Six Pence. No.5645. Horse. Denomination on each side. Signed by Habersham, Wylly and Wade. Printed on laid paper. Horse vignette (with the look of a Zebra) at lower right. About Very Fine or perhaps a little better. Several light folds, generally seen from the back. There is a very short split at the right central fold. Soiling from the back. The face is fairly bright. The bottom margin line is trimmed in partially. However, a well above average example of a popular vignetted type. Most notes of this type have been damaged and repaired.
These larger Sterling issue notes were subject to much more folding than their smaller change bill cousins. The majority of the notes of this type we have handled have been flawed to some degree or have been damaged severely.
