Mottled deep gray and silver gray toning lends appeal and originality to somewhat lustrous surfaces. The best lustre remains in protected areas around the peripheries. No major marks are noted, only some tiny ticks here and there, no significant hairlines, a bit weak in Liberty's hair as sometimes seen. A tiny rim nick above the upright of D of UNITED is essentially invisible in the holder. A handsome piece that appears to have never been "improved" and as such should see active bidding.
