1863 MS-66 (PCGS). Deep electric blue, gold, peach, and rose iridescence explodes on the fiery, lustrous obverse of this gem trime. Struck at the height of the Civil War, one of just 21,000 examples of the date produced. Sharply struck for the date, with just a hint of weakness. An exceptional coin, one that has been bettered in the PCGS Population Report by just four specimens. Gem quality for those who appreciate richly toned 19th-century silver coins.
PCGS Population: 14; 4 finer (MS-68 finest).
