1859 James Ross Snowden medal. Julian MT-3. White Metal, 80 mm. EF, with some hairlines and minor oxidation on otherwise somewhat prooflike surfaces. Snowden's nose is a little flat, as often seen, and light rim nicks are noted on both sides. In original black case of issue, with blue velvet lining. According to Julian this medal was struck in Bronze and White metal, and first produced for public sale in 1874.
