1879-CC MS-64 (PCGS). A lovely specimen of the variety with "normal" mintmark. Choice Mint State and very attractive. Handling marks are here and there, most notably in the field above the head of Miss Liberty, but are about par for a coin classified as MS-64. As is so often the case the reverse of this Morgan dollar could be graded MS-65 without fear of contradiction. Among Carson City dollars of the early years 1878-1885 the 1879-CC is far and away the most elusive. As such it is on thousands of "want lists." One of those will be satisfied with this offering, and very nicely so.
