South-Carolina. 1777 (Act of December 23, 1776). Uncut Vertical Strip of Three. Unnumbered. $2-$3-$4,...South-Carolina. 1777 (Act of December 23, 1776). Uncut Vertical Strip of Three. Unnumbered. $2-$3-$4, with the top position shaved off. Printed on heavy, coarse paper by Peter Timothy. Single signature remainder notes, each signed by J.[ames] Wakefield. Each note face with symbol and motto in seal, all within ornate borders with conversion rates. The backs with floral borders, denomination equivalents and date '1777'. A second rare multiple of this type. Crisp Uncirculated. A slit in the bottom note and the lower right end is deckled in, roughly as made.
