Denomination '2s6d.' at the lower left and signature space at the lower right. The issuer's signature, ''Will.[iam] Baird'' is boldly accomplished and clear. Unlisted in Newman. Also, the first we have seen or handled. Nothing like this was in the DuPont Collection this note is possibility unique. Excellent grade for such a note. Very Fine or better. Light soiling on the face and a wide right sheet margin. Two stamp hinges on the back. For the advanced South Carolina scrip note collector, a note of immense magnitude. Difficult to estimate, however after the hammer falls impossible to replace at any price.
