Colony of New Hampshire. January 26, 1776. Five Dollars. No.2881. Portsmouth Issue Printed by Daniel...Colony of New Hampshire. January 26, 1776. Five Dollars. No.2881. Portsmouth Issue Printed by Daniel Fowle. Payable on January 26, 1786. Signed by Smith and White. Printed on thinner, coarse stock. 72mm by 88mm. Standard face and back designs by Fowle with his imprint. Latin motto PRO BONO PUBLICO and 'Liberty and Property' at the top. This is the last due date of four seen on this issue. The later issue dates appear to have been printed on this thinner stock. Very Fine to Extremely Fine. Two horizontal folds are not severe. Complete face margins. There are two short edge splits. One soft corner with a tip fold and a central pinhole. Raymond's code faintly penciled at the upper left back corner with ''Unique'' just underneath.
