Georgia. June 8, 1777. Seven Dollars in Continental Currency. No.2. Blue seal. Liberty Cap. LIBERTAS CARIOR AURO. The 'in' of the text in black. Signed by Wood, Wylly, Langworthy, Wade and O'Bryen. At this point, we have lost count of the extremely low numbers from this group. It is one thing for a collection to have high grade types within a series. It is another when many of the notes are perhaps presentation pieces kept by the note signers themselves or by other important figures. These notes did not get into general circulation, but only appear to have one or two folds that they may have received at the time of issue. Nearly Extremely Fine. Extremely lightly quarter folded. The seal color, like the other low numbers of the blue seals, is very light to not present. There is a tiny slit in the center. The top margin is trimmed in slightly and the other margins are more than acceptable. Another intriguing note that if it could tell us its entire story, we would be spellbound for hours.
