Georgia. June 8, 1777. Three Dollars in Continental Currency. No.1. Orange-red seal. Frontiersman. The 'in' of the text in black. Signed by Wylly, Langworthy, Wood, Wade and O'Bryen. This is a note that defies the imagination and may have been saved by an important government official or may have been a presentation piece. At first glance, it is hard to believe that such a note could pass the test of the sands of time and not only pass, but get three graduate degrees. The note exudes an impact that will give the next owner an incredible enjoyment to possess such a treasure.
Choice Extremely Fine to About Uncirculated. The grade is academic as the note is stunning. Boldly bright as the day it left the press and prepared for signatures and numbering of the sheet. The seal is crafted with even and sharp printing and lovely color for the type. The margins are not monster, but mostly complete and natural. Penciled ''FCCB'' on the back. Further words do little justice to an item that we feel is priceless. Very much worthy of a bidding war as this is the ultimate note known for the series and denominations. Yet again, a museum caliber currency note.
