Portsmouth Naval Hospital, Latin Let the Deserving bear the Palm. Rev. Presentation legend. This elusive medal shows medium brown surfaces. These medals were struck in Gold and Copper after the 1855 Yellow Fever outbreak. Julian says they were made in 1856 and 1857, and possibly earlier, and medal researcher Carl Carlson believed only 60 were struck in Copper.
