MEXICO. Estados Unidos. Chamizal Return Medal, 1963. .900 Gold, 42mm, 42.52 grams. Brilliant Uncirculated. Obv. Clasped hands, heads of John F. Kennedy, Benito Juarez, Adolfo Lopez Mateos. Rev. Scales, Mexican, U.S. flags, August 29. Struck by Mexico Mint. File test mark on rim. (Est. $600-$650)

The Chamizal was a tract of land on the border, in dispute since 1866 after the Rio Grande River changed course, giving several hundred acres to the U.S. JFK returned the area to Mexico after negotiations.
