Laureate head r., GEORGIVS III DEI GRATIA, script signature I M.D./ TW.F. (James Mudie directed, Thomas Webb engraved it). Rv. Cruciform shields of England, Ireland, Hanover and Scotland with rose, shamrock, White Horse and thistle in angles, script Mills Fecit at l. rim. Plain Edge. Linecar 214, KM Pn880. Designed for James Mudie, creator of the ''National Medals'' that recorded the British wars against Napoleon. A few light handling marks, housed in a fitted case with blue velvet and satin interior.
