TRAVANCORE. Rama Varma VI-Bala Rama Varma II. Tulabharam ¼ Pagoda, n.d. (1870-1931). Conch shell within wreath. Rv. Tamil legend Sri Patmanabha in three lines within wreath. 0.64 grams. KM M9. Choice About Uncirculated. (Est. $75-$100)

Tulabharam coins, from ¼ Pagoda to 2 Pagodas, were struck in advance of the Maharaja's weighing-in ceremony. The potentate's weight in gold was then distributed among the Brahmins.
