1786 Mailed Bust Left. R.10 (R-4). 108.7 grains. Fine or better. Planchet quality is average or a bit better for this variety that comes on notoriously poor quality planchet stock, with some minor flaws noted at central obverse and reverse. Fields are relatively smooth, central devices exhibit very little definition, as is normal for the issue. Rims are tight to the tops of AUCTORI, bottom of bust, date and ET LIB. Here is a very attractive example destined for a well-chosen variety set.
