1783 Nova Constellatio Copper. Pointed Rays. Small US. CONSTELLATIO. Crosby 1-A. 133.1 grains. About Extremely Fine. Here is a rather attractive specimen of this popular if enigmatic United States coin. Surfaces are generally smooth and glossy, with the right third of the obverse covered in a thin burgundy-brown veneer. Well centered and well struck, this specimen is not as fine as Ford's first specimen, but is finer than his second. A small lamination is noted at 'TI' of JUSTITIA.
