MEXICO. Felipe IV, 1621-1665. Cob 8 Reales, no date visible (1635-1640) Mo P. Mexico City. Crowned Arms. Rv. Arms of Castile and Leon quartered by cross in multilobe. Calicó y Trigo Tipo 92. From the wreck of the Nuestra Senora De La Pura Y Limpia Concepcion. Along with a flotilla of 30 ships, the Concepcion set sail from Vera Cruz, July 23, 1641 laden with precious metals. A violent hurricane scattered the ships in the Florida Straits and the Concepcion went down off the island of Hispaniola. With cerificate. Salved. Very Fine. (Est. $90-$120)
