1869 Brilliant Uncirculated, with some claims to a Choice designation. Surfaces are remarkably free of all but the most minor of bag tics on this large silver coin. Fields are aglow in rich, satiny mint bloom, and the surfaces are washed in light peach, rose and gold toning. A glass reveals a very fine pin scratch in the reverse field below eagle's beak, holding this from a sure Choice designation. Here is a well struck survivor of this final 1860's date.
