Helmeted, diademed and bearded half-bust r. holding spear and shield. Rv. Two nimbate emperors standing facing holding long cross between them; CONCORDIA AVG, [CONS] in ex. While the mint signature is that of Constantinople, this issue is mostly found in the Crimea and was likely intended for circulation in Cherson. Based on the usual crudity of strikes and the fabric, it may have actually been struck in Cherson. RIC 460. Very rare. Typical irregular edge. Slight tooling. Olive-green. Very Fine.
