By Julio Kilenyi. About Uncirculated. This handsome design presents the standing figure of Fame holding trumpet and Olympic torch with sinuous smoke swirling above her, taken from the 60x48x29mm struck Bronze Lake Placid Participant's Medal issued for the Third Winter Games. Here she stands free on an uninscribed cartouche, framed in a boldly crafted and detailed laurel wreath. The back is plain. Surfaces present a pleasing light brass-gold patina.
