Bronze, 245mm, with two integral tabs for mounting to a plaque or wall. By Julio Kilenyi. About Uncirculated. This reverse design presents the interlinked Olympic Rings over a four-line sans-serif inscription, III OLYMPIC/ WINTER GAMES/ LAKE PLACID/ 1932, a laurel wreath below. As actually struck, this medal was 55mm Bronze, lightly scalloped. Struck examples in our April 1998 Sale of medals of the Museum of Connecticut History sold for $6,160 and $6,2125. This uniface Foundry Cast is almost certainly unique and would be a fantastic display item for any Olympic collection.
