RUSSIA. State Credit Notes. Lot of 10 Rubles, 1909. Pick 11c. A group of small stacks forming a brick of bills, in a Manila mailing envelope sent registered mail from Zürich in 1920 to New York. Concievably they could have been sent by an émigre fleeing from the terror of the Russian revoltion; a once sizeable sum of money which by 1920 had become worthless trappings of a destroyed empire. The notes grade from Fine to Uncirculated. Approximately 540 pieces. SOLD AS IS. NO RETURNS. (Est. $150-$250)
