Bust r. in stark relief, birth date JUNE 6/ 1876 at l. Rev. Bold beaded circle encloses heads representing The Four Continents, Minerva in Grecian helmet, Balinese dancer in crown, American Indian with feathered Mohawk, African head with stacked neck rings inspired by the Ife Bronzes. A carefully designed tribute to Hyde's collection of and writing on tapestries of The Four Continents, this is a rare and little known creation of one of America's greatest medallic sculptors. Struck by Medallic Art Co., olive-gold patina.
