Proof on yellow laid paper by [Abner] Reed. George Washington standing holding the 'CONSTITUTION' rolled in his hand, in the background Philadelphia and encampment in foreground. The first we have seen of this vignette. Unlisted Bank in Haxby. Wendell Wolka 1740-02. Rarity 7. Listed in Proof form only. The bank did not secure a charter and the organizers became invoiced in the Owl Creek Bank of Mount Vernon. Bottom of the sheet with three wide margins. Three heavy creases and handling. Very Fine for a Proof. Quite striking, nonetheless.
