New Jersey. March 25, 1776. Three Shillings. No.44640. Signed by Robert Smith, John Hart, and John...New Jersey. March 25, 1776. Three Shillings. No.44640. Signed by Robert Smith, John Hart, and John Stevens, Jr. About Uncirculated with no visible folds, just some heavy handling and some soft corners. The note has wonderful color and the printing is bold. The Hart signature is well done and is quite readable.

John Hart was one of the original signers of the Declaration of Independence and his signature on a note is worth a significant premium.

Lot # 2539
